What to Expect:

When you decide to make contact with me, you get to set the pace. Usually we will meet initially for a cup of coffee or tea at a neutral location that suits you—a café or church lounge. We’ll share a bit about our lives and why you are seeking a spiritual director. We will discuss your expectations of spiritual direction, clarify what I offer, and I will answer any questions you may have as best I can. After we meet you can reflect and decide if the ‘fit’ is right for you, and if so we can arrange our first session. If not, I can recommend other spiritual directors that might be the right fit.

Sessions take place at my home where I have a designated space to meet with clients. This first session is free of charge, and a trial so that you can experience spiritual direction with me. If you are happy we then proceed with monthly sessions, which is recommended best practice for spiritual formation, however I am not rigid about this and see some directees 6-weekly, and one bi-monthly. It all depends on your circumstances, stage of life and so on.

  • Between $40 and $70 depending on your circumstances. The first session is free. If at any time things change for you or cost becomes a barrier, please talk with me and we can adjust accordingly.

    As of January 2026, my charges are as follows:

    $70 for new directees

    $60 for officers/clergy/lay ministers (ministry discount)

    $40 for students/unwaged

    All payment is through HNRY accounting software. I send invoices following sessions.

  • At my home. I will give you my address after we set up the first session.

  • Anyone! You may be seeking to deepen you experience of God, or have questions and doubts about faith, or even not be attending church—all are welcome. I also see people who are exploring faith for the first time, and those returning to church after experiences of hurt or seasons of burn out.

  • When we first meet up I will give you some hand-out information to help you reflect and prepare for a session.
